AN AESTHETIC APPLICATION; FAT INJECTIONS
Fat injection (lipofilling, lipoinjection) is the process of transferring fat from one part of the body to another with the purpose of filling it in the required area. It is generally used to fill the dents formed by various reasons in the body lines, reduce the visibility of the lines that occur due to aging in the face region, give a fuller, aesthetically pleasing look to weak faces, or make lips fuller.
The weakness or deficiency in the fat tissue under the skin is also reflected in the body's external appearance and a non-aesthetic, irregular appearance may occur in that region. We try to achieve a better aesthetic appearance by appropriately injecting the fat we receive from one area of the patient into another area that is weak or missing.
Sufficient amount of fat to be used for the fat injection is removed by the liposuction method, from the place where there is plenty of fat, such as belly, hip, leg etc.
Success in fat injection varies depending on the way fat received and injected and transferring the fat after passing it through various processes.
It is hard to call fat injection process a surgery..Is an easy process.
Local or general anesthesia can be applied depending on the amount of fat to be taken.
Fat injection is not a painful process, you don't feel much pain.
There is no scar left on the areas where the fats are obtained and transferred.
Where the fats are injected, swelling, edema and redness that are caused by the fats occur and it is healed by itself in 10-15 days.
Hospitalization is not required. They can easily go home a few hours after the process.
In general, it does not cause discomfort to the extent affecting the person's daily life. It is beneficial for the patients to rest for the first two days due to the edema and bruising that may occur in some areas.
Fat injection is often used in the face area. It is applied to reduce the visibility of wrinkles that appear due to old age. This process, applied to the face, does not stop aging, that is, it does not eliminate the cause, but it camouflages aging by making the appearance slightly younger.
It is used to increase the volume of the lips, vanish deep wrinkles by filling them, fill the cheekbones and enlarge the lower jaw slightly.
If there is a dent in any part of the body as a result of accidents, this area can be filled with fats.
Again, fat injection an ideal method to correct deformity in patients who have undergone liposuction surgery and have dents.
Again, in suitable cases, fat injection can be performed for breast augmentation. It is not a highly preferred method in terms of its results…It can be used in a limited number of cases.
We also use fat injection technique successfully in female genital aesthetics. As it is known, fat tissue can be reduced in the organs of the external genital region due to aging. This condition manifests itself especially in the hairy and elevated region just below the groin named "mons pubis". Likewise, thinning can occur in labiums (lip parts) due to different causes. In such cases, some fat tissue can be injected into these areas to correct the appearance.
The most important problem in the fat injection process is that some of the injected fats dissolve over time. Within 6 months after the injection, almost half of the fat is dissolved and removed from the body. It means half of the fat is wasted. The rest of the fat is permanent. Dissolving of fats does not pose any health risk....If necessary, fat injection can be repeated.
The remaining fat can be stored in sterile tubes in the appropriate cooling environment and injected again. It may be preferred because there won't be a need for fat removal again, but I do not prefer it. I am in favor of the fresh use of fats. I believe that using fresh fat will improve success and reduce the risk of infection.
